When Keith was a
college student getting ready to graduate, he wrote a letter to world-renowned
drummer Ric Lee from the band "Ten Years After" of Woodstock fame, asking him
for a job as a Drum Tech and/or Roadie. Keith wanted to get on-the-job lessons
on how to get into the music business. Soon thereafter Keith received a
handwritten letter from Ric, declining to give him a job as they already had
someone in those positions but offering valuable advice.
Many
years later Keith is shown here meeting Ric, telling him of his many
accomplishments in the music business. Ric is reading his original letter which
Keith saved in a trophy case and read many times over the years. The letter
explains in detail what to study, how to practice, including expert advice on
how to get into the music business and be successful.
